Advantages of Fiberglass

Fiberglass remains the most widely used reinforcement material due to its balanced properties and cost-efficiency.

Corrosion Resistance

Inherent resistance to moisture and most chemicals makes it ideal for marine, underground, and chemical processing environments.

Electrical Insulation

Non-conductive properties make fiberglass the standard for electrical enclosures, PCB laminates, and insulating components.

Cost-Effective

Provides a high strength-to-cost ratio, making it the most economical choice for large-scale structural composite applications.

High Strength

Delivers significant mechanical strength and stiffness, particularly in S-glass variants used in aerospace and high-stress parts.

Thermal Resistance

Maintains dimensional stability and mechanical properties across a wide temperature range, suitable for industrial heat shielding.

Design Flexibility

Easily molded into complex shapes and available in various formats like mats, fabrics, and rovings to suit any manufacturing process.

Fiberglass FAQ

E-glass is the general-purpose industry standard for its good strength and electrical properties. S-glass (Structural glass) offers significantly higher tensile strength and modulus for more demanding applications.
Glass fiber itself is waterproof, but the composite performance depends on the resin used. When properly laminated, it provides excellent water resistance for marine and outdoor use.
Our fiberglass products are compatible with epoxy, polyester, and vinyl ester resin systems, depending on the sizing/coating applied to the fibers.
